Your sales funnel worked. Then it stopped working. And you can't figure out why.
This is one of the most common things I see at $50K to $150K a month. The funnel was producing, leads were coming through, calls were getting booked, deals were closing. Then something shifted and the numbers started slipping. Cost per lead went up. Show rate dropped. Close rate softened. And the owner starts tweaking creatives, changing targeting, adjusting budgets, hoping something sticks.
But the problem usually isn't at the top of the funnel. It's in the middle.
Sales funnel optimization means looking at every stage of your funnel and finding where people are dropping off. Most owners only look at the top, how many leads came in, and the bottom, how many deals closed. They miss everything in between. But that's where the money is leaking.
Here's how to optimize a sales funnel the right way.
Map out every stage. Lead enters, lead is contacted, lead is qualified, lead books a call, lead shows up, lead is pitched, lead buys. Then measure the conversion rate at each stage. Not just the overall number. The step-by-step number.
You'll find that one stage is underperforming. Maybe 60% of leads book a call but only 30% show up. That's a show rate problem, which means your pre-call nurturing is weak. Maybe 80% show up but only 15% close. That's a close rate problem, which means either the pitch needs work or the leads aren't qualified. Maybe leads are coming in but only 20% are being contacted within the first 24 hours. That's a follow-up speed problem.
Funnel optimization isn't about changing everything at once.
It's about finding the one stage that's leaking the most and fixing that first. Then the next one. Then the next one. You don't need more leads at the top if you're losing half of them in the middle.
At Ariyel, we install the visibility to see every stage of your funnel in real time, so you stop guessing and start fixing the actual bottleneck. Because you can't optimize what you can't see.
